“THE ADVANTAGE TACTICAL SIGHT FOR THE GLOCK 17 SITS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN YOUR AVERAGE SET OF “3 DOT” SIGHTS, BUT I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THEM FITTING IN THE HOLSTERS I TRIED.  SIGHT ACQUISITION IS AS FAST AS ANY SIGHTS I HAVE TRIED. THE “RAIL” REAR SIGHTS PUSH YOUR FOCUS TO THE FRONT SIGHT WHERE YOU NEED TO BE. Well folks, we’re only a few weeks away from being able to ship our Springfield and Kimber 1911 and Smith & Wesson m&p sights. A few design changes caused a delay, but we are almost there now. Check with your gunsmith whether your 1911 will take the Kimber or Springfield 1911 dovetail cuts or a mix and match of either front or rear sight. We’ve been paying attention to those who want an Advantage Tactical night sight. We will have one for the 2011 shot show in Jan and it will be fantastic. The best thing of all is that it won’t be tritium’s — no more buying a new set of sights every 6 years. Yeah, I know that they last for 10 years or so, but the practical half life of them is about 6 before they get to dim and you have to stare at them to see anything. I can’t give away too much right now, other than everyone with current Advantage Tactical’s will be able to upgrade to the night sights. The ATS night sight will be brighter, easier to see and faster to acquire, and will not light up your face like pumpkin in a dark room, like tritium’s will.

What color combo do you use with your ATS? I’ve tried every one and have my favorites. The only one I haven’t tried, for some reason, was orange rear and red front. I used it in a USPSA match the other day and it really worked great. I was able to shoot with both eyes open better than with any other conbo.
